Pick Up Lines

Guys are always looking for the quick and easy magic of a pick up line.  But it’s hard to determine which lines help if indeed lines help at all.  I know what works but I did some research to see what’s out there.

I found a lot of junk.  Most of the time lines are delivered tongue-in-cheek which just means the speaker can’t commit to the line and so makes a kind of joke about it.  That lack of commitment probably ruined any chance of the line working. 

But using a line in the first place is a weak way of thinking so…it makes sense.

Let’s have a list of lines that will NOT work…

• Can I buy you a drink or do you just want the money?
• I'm easy. Are you?
• Gee, that's a nice set of legs, what time do they open?
• Do you need help carrying your bible? I bet it’s heavy.
• Come on, you can't get pregnant again. (hahahaha)
• Excuse me, do you have your phone number, I seem to have lost mine.

There are some really, really, funny lines in here.  Some of them I would even use…but probably not to open the conversation.  Although…with the right attitude there are a few that would work great.  Funny stuff…

True pick up lines must NOT communicate your intentions.  (In [my book] I explain exactly why if you really need to understand.)  Rather…they open a conversation between you and she isn’t sure of the purpose.
